Buying, holding and sending crypto-assets carries risks that do not apply to money held in a bank account. Please read this disclosure before using any crypto-asset service through the Platform.
Last updated: 18/09/2026
Crypto-asset prices change. Stablecoins are designed to track a currency such as the euro or the US dollar, but they may lose that link. A stablecoin may lose all of its value, or it may become impossible to exchange it back into currency. Stablecoins are not legal tender and are not equivalent to money held at a bank.
A blockchain transaction cannot be reversed, cancelled or recalled once it has been made, by Quixo or by anyone else. Crypto-assets sent to an incorrect or unintended address are usually lost permanently. You are responsible for verifying the receiving address before confirming any payment.
Blockchain networks may be congested, interrupted or unavailable, which can delay a transaction. Transactions are also subject to compliance checks, which may delay, hold or prevent a transfer.
Access to crypto-assets depends on private keys. The loss, theft or destruction of a private key usually results in the permanent loss of the crypto-assets it controls. Software, wallets and blockchains may contain defects or be subject to attack, which can cause immediate and irreversible loss.
A stablecoin depends on its issuer holding sufficient currency to meet redemptions, and on the banks and service providers supporting it. Those parties may experience outages, delays, insolvency or other failures, which may affect the value of a stablecoin or your ability to redeem it.
Payment fraud is common in crypto-assets. Take particular care with payment requests, changed addresses and requests to send crypto-assets urgently. Confirm payment details with your counterparty using contact details you already hold.
The regulation of crypto-assets differs between jurisdictions and continues to develop. Regulatory change may affect which services are available to you and which crypto-assets can be supported.
